The College of Saint Rose
|
Community Service in SAStuff-the-Van This event was started in the Fall of the 2007 academic year. The hope of this event was to bring the students of Saint Rose together to donate a large amount of food to a local Albany food pantry- enough to stuff one of the Student Association vans. In the end, Saint Rose donated over 1,500 pounds of food, stuffing a van and an SUV, and with enough donations to provide perishable food to those in need. In November of 2008, the Saint Rose campus community once again surpassed our expectations by stuffing TWO vans with non-perishable food items and raising over $600 to be used for purchasing turkeys!
Reach Out Saint Rose (Fall Semester) In 2007, over 400 Saint Rose students, faculty, staff, and administration joined together to go out into the Albany community and clean parks, paint buildings, clean up neighborhoods, play with kids, serve food at a food pantry, and so much more. Here are some pictures from the 2007 event:
This year, in 2008, we had an outstanding 540 participants! Thanks to all who gave a day to help others!
